Wading through a list of mods Part 2

Wade brought his Camaro back for the second installment of parts.  Last time we were laying the foundation for more horsepower with the McLeod RXT clutch.  This time we are adding the fun parts to the engine.  A camshaft is one of the best mods on any LSx engine and the beginning of Wade's quest for more performance out of his Camaro.

The Build:

Sam Cam
Comp Cams Push rods
Patriot Xtreme Valve Springs

Just a Sam Cam ; )

Well I guess it's not "just" a Sam Cam there were other parts involved.  Brian dropped off his already mid 500rwhp Procharged Camaro for us to give it that little something it was missing.  That "little something" would be the wonderful sound of a camshaft oh and the extra power that comes with it.  Since Brian's Camaro was built before the ZL1 fuel pump was out we were running a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump.  With the added demand for fuel we knew adding the cam would bring the stock fuel pump was replaced with a new ZL1 pump from GM.  Now we have all the fuel we need and the BAP still in place for future mods.  Enjoy the build I know Brian does!!

Casey's LS3 Swap

The factory LS1 in Casey's 2001 SS Camaro finally gave up the ghost, but in it's place now sits a camed LS3.  Casey picked up a used LS3 and added:

Pat G camshaft
Patriot valve springs
Comp Cams Push-rods
Comp Cams Rocker Arm Trunion upgrade
GM LS7 Clutch
Poly Engine Mounts
LS3 Intake, Fuel Rails, and Injectors

Now under the hood it's all Fresh and ready for the next 10 years, or next mod!!

Fear the Reaper!!

Ken brought us his "Reaper" Camaro to build for him.  He already had a nice base with a set of SLP long tube headers, Hi-flowcats and SLP Powerflo exhaust.  These mods had is Camaro pumping out a respectable 344 rwhp, not bad but "Ken needed more cowbell!!!!" Gold records and horsepower, you just can't make them without a good amount of cowbell. We are adding a nice melody of parts to make this one sing for sure.

GM Ported cylinder heads
Comp Cams Dual valve springs
Texas Speed 231/236 Cam
Comp Cams Pushrods
Roto-Fab CAI
SLP Under drive pulley
DOD Delete
Yank SS2800 Converter
Trans Cooler
